Hey We have a set of 4 Hitchcock rush seat black laquer and gold trim stencil pattern arm chairs from I think 1940's. The seats must be refinished however they are still able to be used. You could refinish the paint or keep them the way they are for they look like they have a story. On of the chairs rear legs is chewed up from use it appears like however the chairs all appear rather strong. Great discover for the country cottage setting.
